Best Place to Bring in the New Year

Church is the best place to be, to bring in the new year. If your church is feeding you spiritually, then that is the best place to be. And if your church is not feeding you spiritually, then you need to find one that will. Pray to GOD, to bless you with a church that can feed and convict your spirit; keep searching, and the LORD will deliver. 12-31-18

I'm Thankful

I will like to thank GOD for giving me the knowledge and the mental tools I needed to pass my IT exam. I just want to give GOD all the glory for what he has done in my life. Many times we take things for granted, and don't take the time to acknowledge our blessings. Thank you LORD! 12-30-18

Should You Give to Homeless Person, Knowing They Might Buy Alcohol?

I try to live my life knowing that when I die, it's a turnstile at the gate of heaven. A turnstile meaning, only one person can enter at a time, we can't blame our environment, our situation, or someone else for our actions. We are responsible for our own actions. Therefore, you can't concern yourself with what a homeless person will do with the money you give them. As long as you do your part as a Christian and you feel Jesus will be pleased, if the homeless person buy alcohol with your money, that's on them. They will have to answer for their actions when they get to the gate. You will want it where, if Jesus ask, "did you give to the homeless", you can say, "yes". I doubt if Jesus ask, "what did the homeless person do with the money you gave them?". 

Stop Stressing Over Things Out of your Control

Why do we get so wrapped up in the things we cannot change? We can't change people. So, you pray for them; only GOD can change people. Sometimes you can't change your situation; put it in the LORD's hand and stop stressing. Only thing we can change is ourselves. Which will give us a different perspective on how we view other people and our situation. Which can influence people and your situation. 12-27-18

Sunday Service

One of the scriptures, my pastor talked about on this past Sunday was "John 14:15", "If ye love me, keep my commandments." Are we being obedient to GOD's word? What have GOD told you to do that you haven't done yet? 12-26-18

Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful day it is! Everyday above ground is a blessing! Today we celebrate Jesus Christ, the birth of the savior! We celebrate being thankful for what all he has done for us. I wouldn't have made it this far without him. Christmas is all about giving, not receiving, Jesus gift to us is life, and I'am so grateful! 12-25-18

Christmas Eve 2018 Message

Christmas eve, the day before the day we celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. Christmas is all about giving and not receiving. It's about thinking of someone, other than yourself. The Holy Spirit of giving and being kind to others, that should be in us during this season and all year around. 12-24-18

Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People?

One of my favorite songs is by a gospel rapper name Lecrae called "Truth". I believe it's track number 7 off his album called "Rebel" in 2008. The reason why this is one of my favorite songs is because, not just that I like the beat and how it sounds, but the message is powerful. And when you can listen to something that sounds good to your ears and have a good message in it at the same time, it's like a win, win situation. In the song, he actually answers the question, "why do bad things happen to good people". I highly recommend checking that song out. 12-16-18

Break Out Your Daily Routine!

Unless your daily routine involves doing the LORD's work, do something slightly different today that involves giving GOD the glory. It can be anything, as long as it's pleasing to GOD. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in what you want to do different. And after today, make it a routine. 12-14-18

If You Found $100,000, Would You Keep or Return?

Let's say you were the only one around driving in a desert somewhere, in the middle of nowhere. You see a wallet laying on the ground all by itself. So you stop the car to take a closer look. You pick it up and find $100,000 cash in it. You also find an ID or driver's license in the wallet. You look around and there is no one in sight, you are miles and miles away from everyone.
So, the question is:

1. Would you contact the person on the driver's license and tell them you found their wallet with $100,000 in it?

2. Would you keep the $100,000, don't say anything to anyone and drive off, because no one will know?

3. Would you keep a small portion of it, contact the person on the driver's license and tell them you found their wallet with the remaining balance in it?

So, in my opinion from a Christian stand point, the answer resides in Acts chapter 5 verses 1 thru 10.

This is my interpretation of Acts chapter 5:
Verses 1 thru 10 speaks about a husband and a wife being deceitful to the church.
We have to be careful with what we do, because GOD can see everything.
Therefore, if you are able to pull a fast one over someone, you will never be able to fool or trick GOD. In these scriptures, the husband and wife even died after being exposed to what they have done. Therefore, the Christian answer is 1, contact the person and return the full amount of money that was in their wallet. 12-12-18

Today's Bible Reading Acts chapter 3

In Acts chapter 3, Peter healed the Lame man at the gate of the church.
6 - Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 - And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
One of the many amazing stories in the bible of people being healed by the power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. 12-11-18

Having Trouble Reading KJV Version Bible?

Most bibles now-a-days will have an audio version, where you can listen to the bible while you read along with your eyes. The one I use online is the "King James Bible Online".org, and it has a section where you can play the audio of each chapter. I also use a bible app on my cell phone that play the audio of the scripture as well. I even have the bible on DVD at home, which allows me to listen and watch the words on the TV screen. Listening while reading can increase your  understanding of what's going on in the scriptures. The part I like best about the audio is that, each person that speaks in the scripture has a different voice. Therefore, it makes it easier to know who is speaking during dialogs. 12-10-18

Today's Bible Reading Acts: ch 1 and 2

Today's bible reading for me is the book of Acts, chapter 1 and 2 in the new testament. If you are curious to know what the bible says about the Holy Spirit, the book of Acts is a great place to start. I believe it is a great idea to read a chapter of the bible daily, and write down some comments about what you read. It will help you remember and have something to refer back to at a later date when you are trying to find specific scriptures or information about a certain topic. It keeps your inner spirit healthy, and a one way to connect with GOD on a daily basis. 12-9-18

Thankful

Many of us take the small things for granted, until you hear someone else's testimony, and then realize, that you don't have it as bad as you think.

I believe the saying is true; no matter how bad your situation is, someone is always worst off than you.

I'm thankful for every breathe that I take, being able to breathe on your own without a machine, without any issues is a blessing many of us over look. 12-8-18

How I was able to Speak in Tongues for the First Time

I prayed to GOD constantly to received the Holy Spirit. I responded to 2 alter calls at bible study service, where I opened my mouth and prayed out loud with my head tilted back and with my arms in the air. The pastor prayed over me multiple times, other church members who can speak in tongues prayed over me. My pastor said it comes from your gut, and not your mind. I closed my eyes and really concentrated on the Holy Spirit. After multiple attempts on my own, when I got home that night after bible study, I was able to speak in tongues, while in the shower. My goal now is to be able to speak in tongues openly without being in a private setting. 12-7-18

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Speaking in Tongues

At bible study yesterday, the pastor was speaking about being filled with the Holy Spirit. And praying to heaven through the Holy Spirit in tongues is a language only GOD can understand; like a prayer language. After being saved, then you must get to know the Holy Spirit. Many of us Christians fall short of being Holy Ghost filled. See scriptures below:

ACTS chapter 19 verses:

2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

I prayed in tongues for the first time yesterday after church members were praying for me on the alter. I felt the Holy Spirit at church, but it wasn't until I got home and got into the shower, I was able to speak in tongues. I still need to continue to practice speaking in tongues until I'm very comfortable doing it any time and any where. 12-6-18

The "Bible" TV mini series that aired on the History channel was a phenomenal
experience to watch. After reading the bible, or even before reading the
bible, this film will help provide a visual for the stories of the bible. It
has a high potential to deepen your understanding of the bible and the
stories that took place. I highly recommend checking it out. According to
Wikipedia, it is the largest cable television audience of 2013 to date and
the No. 1 show on all of Sunday night television with 10.9 million total
viewers. 12-4-18

Two Life Changing Tips that can Change your Life

Sunday at church, my pastor talked about hearing from GOD and being obedient to what he is telling you to do.

• The first thing we need to do is to learn how to hear from GOD. The more you get to know GOD by studying the bible, the more likely you will know if it's him speaking to you or not. For instance, it's very similar to knowing someone like your best friend or a close family member. For example, if someone was to ask you, "did your best friend take the coffee without paying for it?", you would say, "they wouldn't do that, because I know them very well".

• The second thing we need to do once we know it's GOD speaking to us, is to obey whatever he is telling us to do. It may not make sense at the time, or it may be inconvenient, but we need to be obedient in faith.

One disobedient act can turn your life upside down for the worst. And one obedient act can do the opposite for your life. Deuteronomy 30:10 / 12-3-18

What is GOD asking you to do?

Have you ever had a gut feeling that the LORD may be telling you to do something? Even though, you may not be 100% sure it's the LORD saying it to? Well, if it's something positive that relates to apologizing to someone for instance, whether you are right or wrong, or helping someone, or reaching out to someone you haven't spoke to in a long time, then it's probably GOD speaking to you. Also, if it doesn't conflict with the bible wording, then it's probably GOD. Moreover, if it lines up parallel to GOD's words in the bible, it's probably GOD. Therefore, I suggest that you do it, whether it's a small thing or a big thing. That's where your blessings come from, being obedient to GOD's word. 12-2-18

What will people say at your funeral

Many people don't think about their legacy they're leaving behind when they are gone; or the memories you leave with others who knew you. Will love ones, friends, or family have nice things to say about you? Many of us think about ourselves, but overlook how our actions impact the people around us on a daily basis. People are watching us all the time, when we don't even know it. You would be surprised of certain things you might have said, or something you did, or even how you handled a 'not so great' situation you were in; how you kept a positive attitude when times were tough. People are watching us all the time, keeping their thoughts to themselves. Therefore, I want people to genuinely speak about how I helped or thought about someone else, other than myself. Are you impacting someone life in a positive manner while it's still time? I hope I am. 12-1-18
