Christian movie "Sacred Vow"

This 2016 Christian movie called "Sacred Vow" is a 'must see' movie if you are married. If you are contemplating divorce, watch this movie first. It's about a guy who is done with his current marriage and already made his mind up that he wants a divorce. See what happens. I highly recommend checking this one out. 11-30-18

A 'Must Read' if you are a Christian

One of my favorite books is "Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For?" by Rick Warren. It answers that question; what on earth am I here for? Before picking up this book, I use to wonder about my purpose here on earth. I highly recommend reading this book front to back as it will enhance your life for the better. 11-29-18

Do You Know the True Definition of a Man?

My pastor Fred Wyatt has a DVD/CD series called "Definition of a Man" that will change your life!  Even though the title is called "Definition of a Man", the woman role is a huge part of this series as well. Therefore, anyone, male, female, young, or old can benefit from this life changing message. Many pastors don't teach on the subject of the essential duties of a man or woman. The question is, how do you fix any type of family issue you may be going through, if you don't know how the family structure suppose to work in the first place, from a biblical stand point? It definitely impacted my life for the better. I highly recommend checking it out, it's available for sale at the book store at any of the Speaking Spirits church locations. 11-28-18

Feeling Down?

Sometimes when I'm feeling down, the LORD will send me a sign to let me know, "Hey, I'm here and I still love you". Depending on what you are going through, if you pay attention, it may be subtle, someone may give you a complement or a person that you haven't spoke to in a while will give you a call, and say something just to boost your spirits a little. These signs can come from anywhere, from the mail, TV, or something you hear on the radio. Like they say, "after the darkness night, always comes a brighter day". No matter what gets you down, don't give up, Jesus loves you always! 11-27-18

Sunday Sermon

Sunday 11-25-18 at church, the pastor spoke about bearing fruit. You have to be obedient to GOD's word in order to bare fruit. Bearing fruit is like receiving blessings from GOD or receiving his love, grace, and protection. Our father, who are in heaven, wants all his children to bear fruit. It's similar to your kids being obedient to you; you probably will give them anything they want if they simply follow your rules. Being obedient involves following his commandments by your actions and things you say. Can someone look at you or be around you and know that you are a Christian or a believer of Jesus Christ, without even asking you; based on your actions, the things you say, or how you carry yourself? 11-26-2018

Christian Movie "GOD's Not Dead"

Similar to "A Case for Christ", this Christian movie is perfect for the atheist or the non-believer of Christ. Sometimes Christians may not know enough about the bible or may not be able to defend the word of GOD effectively, when they find themselves in a conversation with a non-believer about GOD. This is the perfect movie to direct them to or recommend because it's actually about a Christian and an atheist going head to head about the existence of GOD. This a fantastic Christian movie where you can learn some valuable information on the existence of GOD, whether you believe or don't believe. 11-25-18

Christian Movie "Fire Proof"

Now the Christian movie "Fireproof" can really save your marriage, definitely if you and your spouse are at the point where it seems hopeless. This movie will change your life! You truly learn so much about how to restore your marriage, if it feels like it at a point of no return. I highly recommended taking the time to watch this movie, definitely if you are married. 11-24-18

Christian Movie "War Room"

I really learned a great deal about how to deal with marriage problems by watching the movie "War Room". It really inspired me to be a better husband, because I wasn't aware of these powerful biblical concepts displayed in the movie. This movie is a "must watch" if you are married or planning on getting married in the future. You will be surprised of how many Christians that don't know how to handle troubles within a marriage. This movie can definitely help fix a broken relationship or even prevent a divorce. 11-23-18

Christian Movie "A Case for Christ"

"A Case for Christ" is one of those Christian movies that basically gives you an intellectual view of the story of Christ. There are many skeptics out here in the world that don't believe the story of Christ or that it didn't happened the way it was explained in the bible. In many cases it's the people who consider themselves very intelligent or they do a lot of reading and research on religion as a whole. This movie is for those type of people, who argue the story of Christ. When I run across non-believers and we are having a discussion on Christ, and they tend to have more questions than I have answers, I will suggest that they watch the movie. The main character in the movie was on a mission to dis-prove the credibility of Christ by doing diligent research. Therefore, this movie is perfect for those type of people to watch. Christain Movie "Crazy as Hell"

So, the movie “Crazy as Hell” is at the top of my list of favorite Christian movies for a reason. The crazy thing is that the first time I saw the movie, I really didn’t understand it. It’s an older movie but it has so much meaning behind it, with such an impact on your heart. Actually, you probably have to be more of a mature believer to really grasp the meaning. Therefore, I highly recommended seeing this movie, especially if you are a Christian. 11-21-18

However, there are probably more, but these are the ones I could think of at this time. I enjoy watching these type of movies because; not only are they inspirational, but you actually learn something. Applying the message that you see in the movie can enhance your life dramatically. So, rather than just watching movies for strictly entertainment, why not learn a value message at the same time, that can potentially make you a better person after watching it. 11-20-18

Is GOD hearing my prayers?

I realized what may be hindering my prayers to GOD. We are tested on a daily basis to be obedient to his word. Even the small things, that we tend to do, when we know we are wrong, may be holding up our blessings. Why will GOD advance me spiritually if I can't keep my anger or frustration under control; practice patience, be slow to anger, listen and be slow to speak. Less is more, when it comes to speaking. Ten words can have a much bigger impact than one thousand words. My goal is to pass the small test we encounter on a daily, such as apologizing to someone, not getting upset when someone cuts in front of you in line at grocery store etc. If GOD can trust me to be obedient with small things, he will hear my prayers and bless me spiritually with big things. 11-19-18

Servant for GOD

Good morning,

I was looking at a movie last night called "Same Kind of Different as Me". I always feel like I can be doing more as a Christian as far as giving back. I feel like I'm under utilized based on the talents GOD has blessed me with. These days it can be hard to give back or volunteer with the dangers of people taking advantage of you or just simply out to harm you. But I have learned to trust in my savior that he will protect me, and as long as I have a good heart and good intentions, I will be just fine. Many times we worry about, for instance giving to someone appearing to be homeless on the corner asking for money, are not really homeless, but actually scamming you to get your money, to go by drugs or alcohol. Here is the thing though that GOD put in my heart; I can't worry about what that person will do with the money I give them, what they do with it is between them and GOD. I only can worry about what 'I do', because when it's time for us to face GOD, and he ask us, "how often did you give to others?", you can't say, "well I didn't give to the homeless because I wasn't sure what they was going to do with the money". You are accountable for you. And the potential homeless scammer are accountable for themselves. So, as Jesus said in the bible before he spoke, "verily, verily" I say unto you, make sure you are an obedient servant, and follow what his word tells you to do. You only have control over you, you have no control over someone else. All you can do is pray for them, and hope that they are doing what's right in the eyes of GOD. 11-18-18

The message of the day again is: "So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen." This scripture is one of my favorite scriptures I really lean on, on a daily basis. It keeps me strong and encouraged when I go through challenges in life. There are many situations I go through where I feel I'm always the last pick or the last one chosen. It seems other people always have the upper hand, or things come easily to them, or situations where I feel like I lost and the other person won. But that scripture helps me feel better, knowing that I will be first in the kingdom of heaven. We can find comfort in scriptures when we are going through things. It's a scripture for every situation you may be in. SAT. 11-17-18

Bible Study Experience

I come to realize after a bible study service at my church, that I'm not holy
ghost filled. That I'm unable to pray in tongues to the heavens. My pastor
told us that you cannot teach someone to speak in tongues, that its something
I have to make happen for myself. He said don't speak from the mouth or your
mind, but rather speak from within, deep in your gut, and just open your
mouth, usually it happens when you don't know what to say when you pray, it is
communication that only the heavens can understand, Romans 8:26, if I can
achieve this level of praying, it will unlock my spiritual powers here on
earth. So, I'm going to continue to pray Luke 11:13 to the Lord and pray that
I'm able to position myself to receive his gift of the holy spirit.
